We built this website to be a place where anyone in Lake Macquarie or Newcastle can find relevant, local mental health support services for themselves, or someone they are supporting.

Bright Ideas" has been developed to provide a guide of local services, information, current research and resources for educators and families to support children and young people with additional learning and support needs. A strong focus of this guide is for students in statutory Out Of Home Care.

Awabakal offers Medical services across Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Port Stephens and the Lower Hunter, as well as Preschool services in Glendale and Wickham.

Awabakal Ltd. operate Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

ARAFMI Hunter Mental Health Carers offer support and counselling for the families and friends of people with mental illness.

Provides foster care, clinical services, support for court appearances, issues of homelessness and are also an NDIS provider.

Provide community care, Pride care and counselling support for the LGBTI community. Teams in the Hunter region will also provide support linking people into local suicide prevention services for community members who are requiring support.

Connected to Care was established by Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Suicide Prevention Network (LMSPN) in 2021 as an online mental health resource.
